My strategies to improve my teaching practice in Venezuela

Being a teacher in Venezuela in these times implies drawing strength from anywhere to face the reality around us. Fighting against apathy, anxiety and denial of the needs that afflict us as human beings. Faced with this situation, the important thing is to maintain a firm and secure attitude that allows us to continue to assume that the only way to overcome all the problems of our country is through education.

My personality has always been very positive and I don't get carried away by the prevailing emotions. I do confess that anxiety, sadness and helplessness invade me. I'm human, but I always choose to look for solutions and not problems, that's why I look for the best way to create situations within the rooms that make our stay a pleasant and peaceful place.

In addition to this, aware that neither they nor I can spend money on copies and acquisition of study and administrative materials, I decided to return to the old practices of making my flip charts and important formats to keep track and control of my activities within the classroom.

With great care, my days begin with the development of attendance forms, activity tracking, and note-taking. Currently, I have 5 sections of 3rd year. Take out your accounts. To do them, I recycle sheets of saved work and get to work. I do the whole week so that I can focus on other things.

Here I show you the attendance forms, activity control and job submission log

Continuing in the vein of building up resources for the classes, this week I started with the Daily Book Practice and since many do not have to buy the two-column accounting notebook, I improvised how I did it. In the classroom with my students, we recycle sheets, we use rulers, colors to make the corresponding grating and file them in a folder that will be handed out once the exercises are finished.

Here is a photo with the day book and the model sheet that the students will have to elaborate in their recycling sheets

The truth of the matter is that sometimes it can be tedious to do this every day, but it is always gratifying that I comply with my contents and the students assume that it is always possible to solve our problems.

Greetings, my dear Steemians! Thank you for coming in and reading!
