The Life I Lead, Keeps Me Sane In These Crazy Times - EcoTrain Question Of The Week!

With all the craziness in the world how do you maintain your sanity? - EcoTrain question of the week.

We sure are living in interesting times, finally everything that we as humans have done on this earth is catching up with us. It feels like so much is being brought to light, the consequences of our actions towards the environment and towards one another. It is understandable that some may feel really overwhelmed and that everything is in chaos.

But, with the way that so many have been living, it was only a matter of time, until the shit hit the fan.

We are hearing about things that really have us questioning humanity and that leave us, struggling to make sense of it all. I really believe that we are witnessing a great purging and that in order for us to move forward, we first have to face what has been hidden, we have to see the human race for what it really is and to acknowledge and own up to what we have done.

We all need to start to take responsibility for our actions, to face the consequences of the way we have been living and to finally see how we the general public have been played by those in power.

We all know things can not continue as they have been. That we all have to make some changes in our lives and really gain some perspective.

Corona virus is the latest virus that has so many in a panic, the media have created quite a frenzy and some countries appear to be on lock down. Of course they are focusing only on the negatives and not really sharing the true facts about the virus and who it affects.

I tend not to get caught up in the panic, that the media tries to spread and I do not like to focus on things that I have no control over. I do believe in spreading awareness and creating space for people to talk about the many things that have affected their lives though. For me it is all about fpcosing on the ways in which we can create change,

I spend a lot of time outdoors in nature and that really helps to keep me grounded. To remind me of all the things, that I have to be grateful for. Living so close to nature and interacting with it daily, really brings me peace of mind, even in these crazy times.

Walking barefoot on the earth just reinforces my connection to nature, I am fully aware of the many benefits of Earthing, of the way in which it helps to relieve stress and to help you release negative energy. I have been living proof of that for quite a few years now.

When I was in Ireland last year for 6 weeks at a time, I longed to return to the land just so I could de-stress and have the time to process what had happened and what I had gone through. Nature has always been my sanctuary, it quietens my mind and helps me to really focus on what it is I need to work on, what I need to release.

I don't really get stressed living the way I do and feeling the connection I have with nature. I have a deep respect for the natural world and for myself, how I nature, really reflects how I treat myself. From the food I eat, to the information that I absorb.

I take responsibility for my health, I like to be informed so that I can make the best decisions when it comes to my own well being and that of my girls. I eat natural food and treat myself with natural medicines, which really helps to keep things clear in my mind.

I live a simple, yet very enriched life, a life that is very connected with the seasons and the land. I can easily step away from the craziness that is happening and focus on the many amazing things that are in the world. I love to be immersed in nature, to wake up and step outside and be surround by ancient trees and the sound of birdsong. This alone is enough to fill me with love and positivity, so that no matter what is going on in the world, I am grateful to be here, living the life I do.

Loved the picture of bare feet in front of the firepit. This post made me miss my homeland so much. Where I live now, despite being in the countryside, I have no access to real Nature or wilderness. Everywhere you go the hand of man is very present. Still, reading your post reminded me of those sensations and I thank you for that.

P.d. Just noticed the big delegation, thank you so much! I'll put it to good use supporting the ignored Steemians.

Isn't it wonderful to be so connected with nature and the peace it brings! You are fortunate indeed to be able to live the way you live! To have made those choices that bought you where you are today for really that is what it is about - the choices we make and where they take us.

Loved seeing the truck home and yard - a beautiful spot! I always wonder how you came about being able to live on that land - is it the land of someone you know? Are you renting or being a caretaker or something?
Much peace and love to you and your girls!

@trucklife-family, In my opinion Life and Nature are like a Mirror, what we see in it, it will reflect that back. And in my opinion Humanity deceived themselves by pushing themselves into the Phases Of Insanity. Stay blessed.

"take responsibility for our actions, to face the consequences"

This right here, I fear, is going to be a long time coming, if ever at all. On the face of it, many seem to be quick to pick that up in others, but when it comes down to it, taking responsibility themselves and facing the consequences is actually very much avoided. The default seems to be to blame others instead, except for a few.

This seems to sum up so much of what I'm encountering in people at the moment.

Time outside and not panicking from the mainstream media news will go a long way to help maintain sanity. We've lived an urban life for over a year now, and it's not something I will ever get used to, but we still try to enjoy the outdoors. !giphy sanity !trdovoter
