yeah we are... Kind of vig scale I guess... I don't really have a grame of reference, it's our first time really. 😁
Compared to most projects I've seen, propane tanks and diggers, that's BIG!
Thanks, I guess! It feels good to finally see our progress... the plan is much bigger still!
Great to here, I'm intending to head out to Portugal later in the year to do something similar, maybe slightly smaller scale!
ah man.. you heading over to the EcoVillage project?? I dream of portugal sometimes... I have too many ties in New York 😣
That's the plan, yes!
Few things to sort out first, actually a lot of things to sort out first, then waiting on travel restrictions.
I had planned for somewhere between August and November this year, I think I should still make that window!
Currently debating with myself whether I need to buy a van and do a conversion before I head out, I had planned on it but Covid has sort of left me a few $$$ thousand shorter than I'd anticipated!
Now wondering if I can get away with just taking my car.
Nice we'll meet one day. We are planning on taking a visit over there next time we're in Europe. Hopefully we can help with someone's earthship while we're there!
Take the car for now... camp or and than once you got yourself a piece of land make something small to live in till more money comes in. There also planty of caravans that are cheap no?
It would be great to see you over there.
You're probably right, it makes more sense financially to do it that way! And my car does 60 MPG so that's saving twice the amount on fuel compared to van!
I'm also thinking that I might start to use a van conversion as an excuse to just delay heading out. It could easily take me three months to gradually do it up between working.
Cheers!
haha yeah... the intentional delaying of things, I think most of us do that all the time!
