Nice learning experience! My first critter to skin was a roadkill coon that'd been dead waaay too long to be skinning. The fur pulled right out of the skin and the animal was so bloated that a nasty dead gas sprayed out with the first incision. I carried on though, for science. Or for feral teenage curiosity.

Nice, but what an experience that must have been!!! All bloated like that... That was my first time, and I hope the next one will be easier.
It gets easier every time, and it's mostly translatable to other animals too. They've all got four legs, a tail, and a bunch of stuff inside that you don't want to poke lol
