LA KANTORÍA | A little bit of our history
This blog tries to let readers know about our Kantoría Music Foundation , for that we must answer the following questions:
What is La Kantoría?
As we mentioned in our presentation, the Kantoría Music Foundation is a non-profit institution whose main mission is the integral education of children and adolescents through choral singing and music in general.
How and when is La Kantoría born?
In March 2009, this dream began, in principle it was called "Coro Juvenil de Cabudare", since it is the population where we make life, and originally it was conformed by a group of young people.
Why is it called Kantoría?
Shortly after, on June 13 of the following year, a group of adults joined the group and the name changed to "Kantoría Cabudare", taking the first letter of the name Kantoría "K" as a tribute and representation to the original name of the Cabudare population, which in indigenous language was called Kabudary.
Today we have several groups, all starting with the letter "K".
Have these 10 years been just successes?
Together we achieved many achievements, many applause, many dreams fulfilled...
other dreams and longings were not possible with this first generation, but I am sure that many satisfied their illusions, drained their emotions and even together we suffered setbacks, however also together we successfully overcome different adversities.
On balance, we can say that we won much more than we imagined we could win. We won great friends, fraternal friendships that we currently keep.
Are they still together today?
This group of young people in the passing of these 10 years was making their lives and their careers, some in the musical field, others formed their families, even today there are at least 3 couples of husbands who met, fell in love and engaged in La Kantoría, and today are still together thanks to that beautiful love they cultivated over the years, but that is another story that we will talk about later.
What's the biggest success of La Kantoría?
In the choral field, of the greatest dreams cultivated together became reality in June 2012, when we were able to attend and successfully participate in the International Festival D' Canto, held on Margarita Island, Venezuela.
Today, as "Fundación Musical Kantoría" we also say that we are present in the networks to make a little bit of our work known to all those who have these dreams, so that they know that it can become a reality if they work to achieve it.
Today we have several groups, all starting with the letter "K".
On balance, we can say that we won much more than we imagined we could win. We won great friends, fraternal friendships that we currently keep.
But the legacy of these first generations was to sow the seed of love for choral singing in children and young people who continue that noble work.
Today the voices heard are not those of these brave young people who began the road, today are others who follow in the footsteps ... That estela as the Poem of Machado would say, that turned into a song by Serrat we sing many times until we get tired: "Caminante son tus huellas, el camino y nada más..." (Walking are your footprints, the way and nothing else...
That, that's the biggest success... "The Legacy"
Today, as "Fundación Musical Kantoría" we also say that we are present in the networks to make a little bit of our work known to all those who have these dreams, so that they know that it can become a reality if they work to achieve it.

All the credit for this we owe to our father and musical director @kantos who has taken great pains in our training and that of other boys who are already adults, we are the relay generation.
10 years of gorgeous harmonies uplifting and healing tired hearts, and contributing to the higher vibration of Mother Earth. Wow. Such strong beginning and a community born and encouraged around song.
