One day these sacred texts - the eco village journals - will be closely studied by anthropologists to understand the transition of humanity just prior to the great apocalypse. Yes, volume 1 is out! @eco-alex has begun the work of documenting the creation of the world's first steem-crypto-giving-off-grid eco community.
Eco-Village was the talk of the Steem Town this week, thanks to @pennsif. You can catch up with that interview here, if you missed it!! Awesome community spirit, with so many people exploring the possibilities of off-grid communities, using crypto and a natural giving economy.
Communities within communities! @wildhomesteading shared this week about ANOTHER important community: his new WORM community. The same issues of siting, inflows, vibe and community outflow are important for our wormy friends! Sometimes we can learn a LOT just by observing critter communities which cohabit naturally and get it right.
Mandala as a living symbol of community in celebration is a beautiful thing! @artemislives shares the global Chiang Mai community's Divali Flower Mandala journey, and their singing bowl meditation as a part of the Divali celebrations in Northern Thailand.
The first taste of eco-village for many people is whilst travelling, and so the importance of a place like Camp GRITS can't be under-estimated. @freemotherearth gives us a really detailed look at an alternative place for travelers to stay and begin their interaction with ecology, community and lots of issues like repurposing and living in harmony with Mother Earth.
Children are such an integral part of community, and how they're educated and socialized is something parents care & talk a lot about. @trucklife-family shares her perspectives on socializing children within community as a home-schooler, and gives some really valuable and unique perspectives. The children ARE our collective future and this is a hugely important post.
EcoVillage is a practical response to disconnection, distraction, loneliness and the destruction of our natural world. @eco-alex captures the essence of WHY really beautifully in his poem from the Eco Village Journal.
We hope you have enjoyed these eco-village & eco-community related posts - please LAVISH them with upvotes, reblogs, comments and engagement.
If you're able to delegate, or increase your delegation, to @ecotrain, it's a simple and practical way you can help to engage with, and fund, steem eco-villages around the world.
Most importantly, consider writing under the #ecotrain tag this coming week - we love all posts eco-green, earth building, spiritual and natural, but mostly as those things relate to the building and evolution of eco-community.
