Humans Are Much Easier to Trick When There's a Disaster! <Problem - Reaction - Solution> (TSU Bi-Weekly Question)
Today I'm dropping in to take a shot at our most recent @TribeSteemUp Bi-Weekly Question: Do we only shift our thinking when disaster strikes? This question was provided by @RiverFlows, and there's been some great responses already.
This is a very interesting question, and I see the answer as something that actually breaks down into 3 main points:
- Our thinking is changing all the time. Every time we have a new experience or take in some new information, our thinking changes. Of course, the carefully-crafted mind control that is "schooling" trains most people out of their natural drive to learn & expand their minds.
- When a disaster or other MAJOR event happens in our own life (near death experience, psychedelic experience, major break-up, death in family, etc), we often re-evaluate our lives, and make major changes.
- There is a long-practiced method referred to Problem-Reaction-Solution, used by many governments for (at least) centuries, and it only works better in the modern world, where they can be such an easy flood of "media" pushing whatever disaster they have planned.

After reading @revisesociology's post answering this question, I wrote a 2300 word piece breaking down what I see as a major power-grab scam, prettied up and called "Climate Change."
This topic is certainly the most important current use of problem-reaction solution. Every time there's a wildfire, a harsh winter somewhere, earthquakes, volcanoes, just about any natural disaster... That means CLIMATE CHANGE! And that means that government power needs to be more centralized, and individual freedom needs to be reduced.
In the past, most of the big examples of this technique were more aimed towards military affairs, either by creating disasters, or simply allowing them to happen (even though there was plenty of warning), and using the disaster as an excuse to invade someone or start a war. Remember The Reichstag fire? Pearl Harbor? The Gulf of Tonkin (which literally never happened)? September 11th?
You'll also recognize this scam in use every time there is a mass shooting (which happen almost exclusively in "gun free zones," are always committed by people on pharmaceutical mind-altering chemicals, and many of which are simply false flag operations), where the distraught families & witnesses (and random people) are trotted around to tell the masses that the only way to stop this from happening again is to make sure that the government are the only people with guns...

Hi @kennyskitchen
This is such an interesting and important question @riverflows has raised.
I've long been aware of the use of war by government to create distraction. Problem-Reaction-Solution as a technique can be seen at work in our media in the UK on almost a weekly basis, along with the less subtle techniques demonizing individuals, or groups, to create a smoke screen of distraction from the real culprits who negate our freedoms - government, establishment and big business.
It never occurred to me that these techniques could be, or would be, applied to natural disasters. But it makes sense that they would use any opportunity for control to gain a greater choke hold on freedoms.
It's interesting to see the distinction between entirely manufactured disasters and those that are real, but inflated to create fear. Both instances create the same control mechanisms.
The levels of mass histeria created by the carona virus springs to mind. While it is important to contain and eliminate, I'm pretty sure it's being used to facilitate stricter limitations on movement.
Isn't it strange how these so called 'catastrophic diseases' appear every decade, usually in China! Then they are miraculously cured or contained by application of science. It's almost like a fictitious narrative that paints a certain place as being negative, with the golden hero of science that saves the day.
Don't get me wrong, I think science had a lot to recommend it... but that doesn't take away from the fact that the narrative is pointing us toward very definitive definitions of what is right. And away from asking/answering questions for ourselves.
By the way, can anyone answer the tribesteem up bi-weekly question? I'd like to give it a pop myself. I guess I can find it on @tribesteemup blog page?
