Response to @exyle's Negative interest rate post

Great post by @exyle this morning, in which he discusses negative interest rates at his bank in the Netherlands.

Savings rates are so low, but borrowing money is way higher. Go figure? Why keep your value somewhere, where it will diminish in time?
