See The World #14 - La Sagrada Família Basilica, Casa Milà, Casa Batlló (Barcelona Tour)

(Edited)

To some, might seem like a usual getaway while trying to survive from daily routines, but for me it's not just another discovery but a new beginning.

And I'm saying that not because I finally made it outside my country, but most likely because it brought me lots of first times: first flight, first foreign country visited, first time I had to speak a different language than mine, first time paying in a different currency that I was used with, first time discovering a new culture.., but also a baggage full of different feelings.

First stop was very promising, making the introduction to a great adventure which was yet to start - Basilica De La Sagrada Família, which made me rediscover myself while I jumping from a mood to another when I was exploring the 3 facades of the church which are very different from one another even though it sums up a single building that conquers everyone's heart.

This is also the most known creation of Antoni Gaudi who didn't stop here but continued to make Barcelona richer through his works.

The video presented sums up three of Gaudi's creations, the last two being two houses that has a pretty similar use nowadays, and they are just 5 mins away from one another.

It's not new anymore to mention the unique style of the architect that make his works stand out very easily from anything seen before, even though it was very criticized at the beginning.

This is also the first part of this new series called Barcelona Tour where I will present everything I visited in discovered in these 4 days spent in Spain, but which are only 2 dedicated to this activity due to either very early or too late flights.

  1. La Sagrada Família Basilica
  2. Casa Milà
  3. Casa Batlló

Enjoy your travels, I could very easily get addicted to it as well! I enjoyed your video, gosh it must be quite a task maintaining that church, it looks so high!

It has a total of 170m, so it is pretty high, lol! Luckily there are people who care a lot about this treasure and maintain it for all the tourists who come by to visit it. Thanks for watching the video! :)

Oh my goodness, what an amazing church. You could spend days seeing everything, it's almost too much to take in! So your first trip out of your home country, what do you think? Being the traveler that you are I'm sure it wasn't scary at all, just another adventure. I love it, love that you are doing this, and to have all of these videos as memories, perfect! Have fun in Spain, I've never been there but hope to make it some day soon. Cheers and safe travels @gabrielatravels.

Yeah, first time abroad and it was so cool! I wasn't scared, just very excited and curious wanting to discover as much as possible in that limited time I had.
Hope you will visit it one day too, as it totally deserves it. And thanks for watching the video, it means a lot to me and I'm happy you liked it! :)

Ah the time to do things is a perpetual struggle I think 😁 would love to do be able to do more videos. Once I get the blog series out of the way, it could be something to look into. I look forward to seeing more of your videos 🙂
