"LONE EXPLORER" - Mastered NEXTCOLONY Ambient Soundtrack on DSound

I've been enjoying shooting video of my modular performances lately, especially since I've finally gotten a functional multicamera workflow together. That being said, I don't want to slack on my @dsound posts and it's important to actually get stuff mastered and put away if it's ever going to be used in the fantastic universe the @nextcolony folks are putting together. My cover image features the newly released Transporter III, which is 15x as spacious as the woefully inadequate Transporter I. Yes I should have used the equally shiny and new Explorer II but you can't deny the tier three ships (blueprints for which evidently must be found in game and aren't purchasable) are pretty badass.

As I detailed in my @dtube post (https://steemit.com/palnet/@drumoperator/er0k7u0o310) this piece relies heavily on outboard pedals. Having a wall of modular can push you towards total eurorack reliance (why wouldn't I want to use a reverb that takes CV modulation, etc) .... but I have some guitar pedals (in this case the EQD Afterneath and Alexander Syntax Error) that are pretty singular in their sound. I've actually got some wet/dry fx loop modules in the rack for just this purpose and being able to dial back a huge wash of sound and save it for when the piece needs to expand into gigantic territory is incredibly useful and inspiring.

I'm going to do some videos documenting my sample pack progress this coming week! I've decided to bring the Elektron Digitakt sampler on tour ... loaded with a huge library of handmade modular samples from my big system. I'll do a series of videos using only these samples to show them off ... and inspired by redmeansrecording (one of my absolute favorite youtube synth channels) I'm thinking about selling said sample pack of 200-300 weird/full/lush/insane/percussive/pad/sawyourheadofflead/trashcansounds on a new store on sellfy.com. I'll keep you posted but it will be cheap (like $5 cheap) and will definitely be more cost effective than assembling a nonsensical pile of eurorack yourself.

I'm also trying to get a Patreon-tip-esque thing going so I can put more time and effort into this and have being trying to diligently post my BTC tip address without being a total shill.

Thanks bucky. NC has tremendous potential and the team is getting updates out fast enough that I think it's gonna have legs for quite a while.

Been swamped for the last two months but have a digitakt and 0-coast ready to hit the road for a new video series starting this week. Also working on getting my first sample library done and getting all the content I've already made out there to help promote it!

Hope all is well in your world!

Dear @drumoperator

I just visited your account to see if you published anything new only to realize that you seem to give up on Steemit? :(

Hope you're not done with this platform yet.

Yours,
Piotr
