Some dreams and their interpretations - soul encounters

Dream # 1: Meeting a friend at the mall, then going to an ancient place

I dreamed that I was taking a bus with a friend from the elementary school (last week I saw her for the first time after six years), and we came to downtown, where lots of stores are in my city.

I looked around on the shops' windows and saw a pair of shows for $35, and I thought "that's much cheaper than in the big city".

I hung out a bit and so my friend from law school. We kept walking and arrived at an ancient place. We went up. The stairs and walls were built of stone. We came to a kind of room with an automatic machine that poured out cups that turned into deep bowls with cold water. I drank from the water and that was the end of the dream.

My Interpretation

In the dream, you meet your soul.

There is a statement attributed to one of the messengers of Jesus (John?) according to which "there are many rooms in my father's house" referring to the different parts of the soul. You are one aspect of many lifetimes.

In the dream, you are led by your soul (= a bus ride with the old friend) to a dimension where you can communicate and spend time together (= shopping center). You look at the windows of the shops (= other aspects) and feel good and happy (= "so cheap here"). Then you meet another aspect of you (represented by the friend from law school).

You continue on your journey, this time entering deeper into the soul (= an ancient place, made of stones, symbolizing stability and solidity) where you are nourished by the spiritual energy represented by the cold water in the deep bowls.

A little tip for you - when we meet in our awaked reality as if by a coincidence, people from our distant past (as you met last week) we should know that our soul tries to communicate with us. We then should allow ourselves to be receptive to its message.

Dream # 2: A trip to a European city

I had two dreams, two nights in a row:

• In the first, I go with a good friend of mine and he tells me that they are going on an annual trip. When I ask when he says that they were told to be on the bus at 6:30, but actually meant 7:00 and it is now 9:30. I'm a little nervous about being late. I call someone I know and she tells me that everyone is waiting for us. I quickly pack up and think to myself if I should go on that trip at all, and how unpleasant it is that everyone is waiting for us. Maybe instead I better take three days off, there are a lot of students who do not go on that trip. The dream ended.

• The second dream, different in nature, begins with the fact that I return to some city (looks European). The main square is empty of people but looks like after a war, full of gray dust. The people are grouped in the surrounding streets and police prevent them from coming to the square. The people wear jute bags on their bodies and part on their heads, protecting themselves from the dust and smoke. I understand that there was a demonstration with smoke grenades thrown, and the police managed to disperse it. I, on the other hand, walk through the demilitarized zone until I reach my home. There are several people in the house, among them the same girl I mentioned in my previous dream. She is wearing a uniform (in reality she is four years after her army service). I ask her if she saw what was going on outside, she says she came before me. I think I need a shower and she mentions it in words. I undress in front of her (stay in my underwear) and intend to go to the shower outside the house on the other side of the street.

I'm 28 years old. Far from those school annual trips. That girl whom I have known before now looks more attractive to me.

My Interpretation

The first dream reflects some of the doubts you still have about the spiritual path you are walking in (it's not certain these dilemmas are conscious, it's something only you can know). The annual trip describes a journey, a path, to which you are invited to join. It is a journey into the mysteries of the mind and its darkness, and you are still debating whether this is the right thing for you to do. Are you afraid you missed the time to start (because you are allegedly too old?) As well as your reluctance to be unusual (= "a lot of students who do not go to that trip").

The second dream describes in my opinion an experience of one of your aspects (incarnations). That girl is not relevant to the dream, that is, your mind only uses it, because of your familiarity, to represent another consciousness that is close to you. There is an emotional/psychic connection between you and the dream character.

With regard to the first dream - it's certainly possible. It may be that the path is not necessarily spiritual but a relationship or occupational route. I am indeed becoming aware of it rather late in my life.

With regard to the second dream - even though the scenery does hint at something that is not from here, do you really think that there is no symbolism here? I suppose that what happened to us in past incarnations also repeats itself in our present life. Still, the dream must be trying to show me something, mustn't it?

No, no, of course, there is symbolism because every dream has several layers and one of them is definitely the symbolic layer.

But the symbolic dimension is closely related to your special circumstances and because I do not know them enough, I did not try to interpret that.

As for "the dream must be trying to show me something" - well, not always. Sometimes the dream is just an experience, without a meaningful message. It's like "ordinary" life - not everything that happens to us hides in it some hidden wisdom waiting for us to discover it. Sometimes, as they say, a carrot is just a carrot.
