Should the church be taxed?

Should the church be taxed similar to any other business or individual is? Not an exact percentage, just in general. This could mean a 0.5% tax to something more similar to what other corporations pay.

No. Churches aren't businesses. They are 501(c)3 organizations. Like United Way and other charitable organizations.

no one should be taxed.
taxation is theft and governments are corrupt criminal organizations that control certain territories of land.

Tentatively no. A church should divide its trading/investing activities away from its charitable work and the business side of things should be taxed as a business. An easier way to look at this is that. roughly, donations should not be taxed but business/investment income should be.

There are many kinds of churches. If the church is really using the money to donate to charities (or simply to poor people, people in need), then they should not be taxed.
