Good Day STEEM folks! Hope you are having a wonderful start to the new year! Although it's only January, it's never too early to think about @steemfest. I will use DPoll, (a polling application on the STEEM blockchain) to ask the simple question: Where Do You Want @STEEMFest 5 To Be Located?
@roelandp is the organizer of the annual @steemfest extravaganza. I'm sure he already has an idea of where the fifth @steemfest will be located, but this will be a poll to see what the STEEM users want.
Past @steemfest locations:
- @Steemfest 1 - Amsterdam, Netherlands
- @Steemfest 2 - Lisbon, Portugal
- @Steemfest 3 - Kraków, Poland
- @Steemfest 4 - Bangkok, Thailand
Last year, I ran the same poll. 12 of 26 respondents chose Asia to be their desired location... and guess what... @steemfest 4 was in Asia!

Quito, Ecuador.
Ecuador is visa free for almost all countries, only this beats all other SA and NA countries and it’s cheaper than the Caribe.
The only drawback I see is probably is the high ticket price.
Otherwise it could be nice.
also, it uses the US Dollar!
@nicollefiallo and I plan to go to Ecuador at the end of this year to visit her family... so it would be awesome... but maybe Cuenca instead of Quito :)

Just adding another vote for Denver because that would be pretty cool. I probably wouldn't be attending no matter where it is, though. Not my idea of a good time. :)

I don't know that I have a specific city per se, but I feel like if it were held in Canada, the US or Mexico, I'd have a better chance of getting to it than anywhere else. :)
And I guess that's probably what most folks are looking at—proximity. The first three STEEMFests have been somewhere in Europe, and yet those who have answered your question, the majority want more in Europe.
Anyway, I guess we'll see whether or not this poll predicts where the next one will be (or influences it in anyway. :)

Mexico, a Central American country, Ecuador, or a Caribbean Island with a cheap visa.
It can't be in the us or Canada since they have expensive visas and will reject many steemers for various reasons. They will take money and application, but deny the visa.
It should be close to the us so those people can afford to make the trip.

It's a very nice place with US dollars and has good airfares from most places. Except Galpagoes which is very expensive.

Check the airfares, @jeffjagoe. I know they ave good sales. At lest two intl airports compete for the business.
