Are you bilingual?

dpoll Are you bilingual_ bxlphabet.jpg

Are you one of those lucky people who can speak more than one language? I wish I was.

For this definition, bilingual means you can get along fine even if no one speaks your native tongue when you are in their place.

Please add comments if you have them. I want to hear from you!

  • I only speak one language.

  • I am bilingual and speak two languages .

  • I am tri-lingual and speak three languages .

  • I am multilingual and speak four languages or more.

Answer the question at dpoll.xyz.

English and German. I used to know enough of italian and french, too. But if you don't use it, you lose it.

Hey, @bxlphabet.

I do speak Spanish as well as English, the latter being my native tongue, in case there was a need for clarification. My wife is from Mexico, so I keep up the Spanish fairly regularly with her, though not nearly as much as in the first several years of our marriage.

I'm currently in a situation where it's basically all English speaking, so I'm sure I've been slowly losing it, but the times I've had some gaps in speaking, it's seemed easy enough to get back into it. Vocabulary words are probably the first thing to go.
