I wonder why it is called #newsteem. Many great writers left, nothing really changed and the comments and answers are close to zero. Where is the commitment, engagement the social platform that was called to be better as Facebook?
How to encourage people to start here?

At first my author rewards are increased for a short time, but then decreased.
This was done by the increased (and later decreased) upvotes I received.
Probably the people was hyped at first by the HardFork 22 (HF22), but they returned to their previous behavior. To ignore my blog posts. I am still earning a few cents with my posts, and if I post something with Busy or with eSteem, I still rarely get real, human comments. The HardFork 22 (HF22) does not really changed anything. Except the increased curation rewards (and the halved voting values), the changed rewards curve, and the introduced downvote mana. The curation rewards are increased, but our voting values are halved, and looks like this does not really encouraged people to vote (nor to interact) more. At least not on my blog posts. I am still struggling sometimes to reach the payout threshold with my blog posts, which is $0.02. Nowadays I use dPoll to post polls. I like the real, human interaction, and I also like the upvotes from dPoll, but this has nothing to do with the HardFork 22 (HF22). I mostly use eSteem to post blog posts. I love the post boosting with eSteem Points (ESTM) feature, but this has also nothing to do with the HardFork 22 (HF22). Sometimes I also post with Busy. Nowadays I am very active as a curator on Steemhunt, but this has also nothing to do with the HardFork 22 (HF22). I currently consider the HardFork 22 (HF22) as a failure. But I still don't blame the HardFork 22. They can make any HardFork they want, they probably still not change the nature and the behavior of the people. If the money earning opportunity is involved for the users, then selfishness and greed always be.there. And this is exactly why Steem will never replace Facebook, Twitter and the other traditional social networks. Not to mention the fact that Steemit is being advertised by the money earning opportunity, not by community. Like any normal social network. Sorry for the honest sentences, but I like and prefer honesty over money. I know. I am risking the Steem censorship (being downvoted/flagged) with this comment.
I voted for "10", because at least I somewhat enjoy curating because of the increased curation rewards. But other than this I do not notice any real changes in their Steem experience by the #NewSteem in the long term.
It had a good short term effect, as I wrote at the beginning of this comment, but that is all. Or at least for me.
