Who's Responsible?

A couple of weeks ago WADA, the Wold Anti-Doping Agency decided unanimously to ban Russia fro four years from all major competitions for doping and all the cover up that they did. This ban is unprecedented, it's the first in history. Russia has a lot to lose and they know it. They have the right to appeal, which I believe they will and some say this can take years. That means during the appeal they can compete as the decision have to be final in order to be applied.

Yesterday came actoss an articla that says Russia is blaming the whistle blower in this case, who is no one else than Grigory Rodchenkov, the ex head of Russia's national anti-doping laboratory, the Anti-Doping Center. This center was suspended in November 2015 by WADA for facilitating Russia's elaborate state-sponsored doping program.

Rodchenkov helped develop and distribute banned performance-enhancing substances for thousands of Russian Olympians from 2005 to 2015. He made headlines in 2016 as a whistleblower, helping expose the complex and extensive nature of Russia's doping program. His revelations were confirmed by the independent McLaren Report, leading to Russia's partial ban from the 2016 Summer Olympics and total ban from the 2018 Winter Olympics. source

There is a documentary called Icarus made by Netflix, if you haven't seen it, don't miss it. It is about the whole scandal and its featuring Rodchenkov. He left Russia as that was the only way for him and now he's in witness protection in the United States. I believe he's the key witness and must be protected as two major Russian anti-doping executives died in mysterious conditions right after the scandal broke out.

Now Russia is blaming Rodchenkov, they say he was the one who remotely changed test results of the athletes from abroad after fleeing the country in 2015. I don't know if they have evidence to back the accusations up. Something tells me they don't as if they had they would have used it before the 4 year ban was handed out.

We don't know what is true and what's not as we haven't been there but it looks easy to blame Rodchenkov for the whole thing as someone must take the blame and it can't be Russia. If you think about the whole thing logically, it couldn't have been Rodchenkov as this whole mess is way too big for one man. I'm curious to see how this whole mess is going to end.
