After a successful [field test] (https://steemit.com/photography/@bambuka/field-tests) lens [TALON1: 2.9 / 85] (https://steemit.com/doityourself/@bambuka/you-can-do-it) from the projector decided to upgrade it. The purpose of modernization is to make it more convenient to work and add useful functionality.

После успешных полевых испытаний объектива TALON1:2,9/85 от проектора решил его модернизировать. Цель модернизации - сделать более удобным в работе и добавиь полезный функционал. .

**1. First, you need to expand the range of focal lengths. My first version of the lens (Bamboo-1) began to shoot in focus only no further than 1 meter. The extension pipe must be shortened (photo 1)

2. There is a spiral groove on the lens body (photo 2). With its help, you can smoothly control the focus using rotation. So it was in the native projector

3. Well, you need to make the appearance so that the camera with such a lens does not catch the eye. That is, make it black**

1.Во первых надо расширить диапазон фокусных расстояний.Мой первый вариант объектива (Бамбук-1)начинал снимать в фокусе только не дальше 1 метра. Удлиняющую трубу необходимо укоротить (фото 1)

2. На корпусе объектива есть спиральная канавка (фото 2). С её помощью можно плавно управлять фокусом применяя вращение. Так было в родном пректоре

3. Ну и надо сделать внешний вид, чтобы фотоаппарат с таким объективом не бросался в глаза. То есть сделать его чёрным*

Я не стал укорачивать старую трубку. Отрезал новую нужной длины. Та же труба того же диаметра. Теперь нужно было сделать небольшой выступ внутри трубы. Этот выступ должен входить в прорезь на корпусе объектива (фото 2) и скользить по ней при вращении. Я испльзовал маленький пластиковый жгут. Таким пользуются электрики собирая провода в пучок. Из головки жгута с помощью ножа и напильника сделал выступ по форме и размеру канавки.

I did not shorten the old pipe. Cut off a new desired length. The same pipe of the same diameter. Now it was necessary to make a small ledge inside the pipe. This protrusion should go into the slot on the lens body (photo 2) and slide on it during rotation. I used a small plastic tourniquet. This is used by electricians collecting wires in a bundle. Using a knife and a file, he made a protrusion from the head of the bundle in the shape and size of the groove.

Диаметр корпуса объектива был немного меньше внутреннего диаметра трубки. Я подобрал листовой пластик нужной толщины. Подошла пластиковая карта от рекламы каких-то услуг. Мой подготовленный жгут плотно подошёл в паз, который я вырезал ножницами в пластике. Всё вместе я вклеил внутрь трубки.

The lens barrel diameter was slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the tube. I picked up the plastic sheet of the desired thickness. A plastic card came up from advertising some services. My prepared bundle fit tightly into the groove, which I cut with scissors in plastic. All together I pasted inside the tube.

Осталось просто ввинтить объектив в его новый корпус. Что я и сделал. Кстати, стальная муфта, это корпус другого объектива от другого проектора. Подходящей по диаметру пластиковой трубы в магазине не нашлось. Но это уже моя следующая цель. А мне надо ещё сделать объектив чёрным.

It remains just to screw the lens into its new housing. Which I did. By the way, the steel clutch is the case of another lens from another projector. There was no suitable plastic pipe in the store. But this is my next goal. And I still need to make the lens black.

Это самая лёгкая часть пути. Я просто обтянул трубку кожей чёрного цвета, приклеил кожу на пластик. Это будет полезно при съёмке в морозную погоду. Пластик не любит холода, руки тоже.

This is the easiest part of the journey. I just wrapped the tube in black leather, glued the skin to the plastic. This will be useful when shooting in frosty weather. Plastic does not like the cold, hands, too.

Мне ещё предстоит сделать кромку кожи чёрной. Но это уже мелочи для свободного времени. Пока я бегал в магазин за трубой для следующего объектива, сделал несколько кадров моим "Бамбук-2". Было уже темно, улицы освещались лишь фонарями, рекламой и светом фар проезжающих автомобилей. Да, ещё светофоры вносили свою лепту.

I have yet to make the edge of the skin black. But this is the little things for free time. While I was running to the store for the pipe for the next lens, I shot a few frames with my Bamboo-2. It was already dark, the streets were lit only by lanterns, advertising and the headlights of passing cars. Yes, even the traffic lights contributed.
