Why 2020 will be the best year yet for Bitcoin's Lightning Network - Decrypt
With 2020 here, the LN will see massive improvements both due to the base layer upgrades and the protocol updates.
Here what might be coming in 2020:
- Lightning Rod: Accept LN payment finally offline!
- Wumbo channels: the limit of LN channel capacity will be gone-you might be soon be able to send 1 btc(not many of us though will even/want attempt this) over LN
- Trampoline routing: faster LN routing
- Multi-path payments: this overall inc the amount you can send over LN by allowing you to use more than one channel to send.
- And many more IMO
So why will it be the best year yet? Bc it so new, when everything getting built new and newer updates will be seen.
