Portland State's Deante Strickland killed in shooting in city

PORTLAND, OR. The state of Portland confirmed that a man shot dead on Friday in a city house was a college basketball player.

Deante Strickland, 22, played basketball at Portland State after starring at Casper College in Wyoming. He planned to play football in the fall.
