Brandon Nimmo's Strong Finish Shines Encouraging Light on 2020 | Metsmerized Online

The New York Mets could be getting a shot in the arm financially with the buying out of the Wilpons as team owners.  Steven Cohen is offering a new light to fans.

His money is not yet available so the Mets are operating this offseason on a very tight budget.  That limits their moves and reduces the likelihood of closing the gap with the Braves.

One of the pieces that could help is the return of Brandon Nimmo.  He missed a few months due to injury.  He played through a neck injury for a month which reduced the numbers he put up.

He did return in September and put up typical Nimmo numbers,  He posts a 400+ OBP which he is known for.  He also hit 5 HRs during the month.

The Mets will be enhanced by having a healthy Nimmo in the lineup.  While his defense is not elite in CF his bat is potent for the Mets.  He is a player that keeps the train moving and is on base when the big hitters come up.
