I am really loving this series of articles on BBC.com about people who were genius but who seem to have been forgotten in modern times.

Their contribution to the world has been massive but missed, in this article, they take a look at one of the most incredible mathematicians of the 20th century, Hilda Geiringer and her fight firstly to be accepted by academia as a woman in her home country of Germany, and secondly, to escape the clutches of the Nazis and escape to the USA where she again had to work hard from the bottom to regain her reputation and to climb up the ranks to become professor and publish numerous papers and theories, many of which are so important in the field of material sciences today.

A brilliant read by Leila McNeill and well recommended by me!
