What a dramatic Match! Senegal 1 - 0 Tunisia

Well, well, well !!

Sat down to watch this 2 teams take on each other and it turned out to be one of the most entertaining Semi-final matches filled with drama and madness.

If you asked me, today's Senegal vs Tunisia game is actually the best match of AFCON 2019.

Some of the drama included both players from Senegal and Tunisia missing golden opportunities to score penalties. If you have been following up on the AFCON 2019 since way back during the group stages, Sadio Mane of Senegal has had the tendency of missing a number of penalties in some of the matches. He turned down today's opportunity to take the penalty and opted to give it to Saviet who sent the ball directly to Tunisia's goalkeeper. I believe Mane would have scored the penalty against Tunisia had he accepted to take it today.

Another dramatic moment was an own goal scored by one of Tunisia's players which saw Senegal go through to the AFCON 2019 Finals.

Just when Tunisia had gotten an opportunity to get themselves back into the game, they were denied a penalty after the VAR ruled it out. So unfortunate for the Tunisians

In their previous match against Benin, Senegal hadn't put in the hard work as I had expected. However, today they were really on top of their game playing with confidence and also creating a lot of good goal scoring opportunities. Senegal were not able to convert their shots into goals but if they did,the match would have ended with numerous number of goals.

Tunisia also showed their strength and might by withstanding pressure from Senegal for 90 minutes to go into extra time. They played so well and it's so unlucky for them to have scored against themselves during the extra time.

Either way this is football and anything is bound to happen.

Senegal wait to take on either Nigeria or Algeria in the AFCON 2019 finals.

One of their finest players ; Kulibaly will miss the final match since he has picked up 2 yellow cards so far. That's a blow for them but I'm sure they will be determined to win and become AFCON 2019 Champions.
