They call it cryptocurrency and it amuses me. I would rather prefer they call digital currency beacuse it will just be fiat in digital form. 

Well at least more trees will be safe from being cut to print more paper money.

Otherwise I'm cool with the centra banks going digital, I'm sure they will invariably promote the real cryptocurrencies out there.

Yes it is digital currency that is run on a centralized database and controlled.
