Govt team to meet with Northern Alliance | The Myanmar Times

A delegation from the government’s Peace Commission is set to meet with the Northern Alliance coalition of four ethnic armed groups in Kyaingtong, northern Shan State on Saturday.

At the time, the Commander-in-Chief’s Office announced the ceasefire had been extended as the government and ethnic armed groups had participated in negotiations during the ceasefire, and as such, the military sought to provide more time for talks between the groups and the government.
