A Winter Morning Candelabra

I know there's a post in the way, but it's the only angle from which to catch how the morning sun makes the aloe glow. It changes even if I open the front door, so this is through the glass and is what greets me as I come down the stairs each morning.

This is an Aloe ferox which is also known as the candelabra aloe. It's easy to see why.

Yesterday, was one of those days where not a lot seemed to go right. A small new project that involves working around petty personal issues and crossing bridges burned. Finding alternatives. A little cryptic, but dirty laundry, mkne or someone else's don't belong here.

Then a transatlantic appointment didn't happen and now there is silence from that quarter. After having sent me three reminders. It had to be comfort food for supper.

Pasta (made with a duck egg - more of that in time) and with the simplest of tomato sauce.

This jar of bottled tomatoes, a bay leaf and three cloves of garlic, in a pan and reduced until much of the liquid had gone and it had thickened, made the sauce.
