I love how the orange of these roasted carrots pop against the chocolate verdigris of this little ceramic plate. It's a creation by another talented local potter.
The carrots, with cumin seeds and apple cider vinegar, went with a supper of braaied pork neck, brined for 24 hours and basted with mix consisting of, among other things, my spicy plum jam, garlic and ginger.
Served on a bed of wilted Swiss chard and with a rice salad for The Husband.
A sop to Sunday Suppers. It's been nearly a year, and no idea when they will resume.
