Books about Knitting, Sewing & Crafting
Do you know the HumbleBundle-website? It's mostly about video games, where you can buy a number of games in a bundle for a low price (hence the name). Every of these bundles has several tiers, each of them including more items and thus the price increases. Though most of these bundles are for games, every now and then there are bundles of ebooks. Like now: A bundle of books about a vast variety of crafts from Abrams Books.
It starts at $1 with books about knitting ("You Can Knit That!" by Amy Herzog and an "Up, Down, All-Around Stitch Dictionary"), a more general book on making things by hand ("Lena Corwin's Made by Hand"), two home decor books ("The New Bohemians Handbook" and "The Big-Ass Book of Home Decor") and one book "Tiny World of Terrariums" about, well, tiny terrariums.
All these books for one US dollar? Yep, that's humble bundle. And with this money they even support charities - a different one each month, right now it's Girls Inc.. So take a look at the HumbleBundle-page, at the different tiers of this offer and maybe this bundle might be something you're interested in :)
So, I'm off to reading some crafts books - you can't start early enough with planning for the Christmas gifts ;)

Ohhh never heard of this website and naturally the lure of cheap books was irresistible...I went and looked and now i am sitting here with decisions to make (I am interested in the magpie book... why is it in the second stack?????)
In Ravelry, you can put most of the knitting books in your library and thus include them in your pattern search. Looks nice :)
