Deutung:

• Die Israeliten wurden 400 Jahre von den Agyptern versklavt. Gott rief Mose und seinen Bruder Aaron auf und sagte Ihnen das sie zum Pharao gehen und ihm sagen sollten "So spricht der HERR: Lass mein Volk ziehen, dass es mir diene!“ Doch der Pharao verweigerte Ihnen die Freiheit. Jetzt begann das was man als die 10 Plagen aus der Bibel kennt. Wir kennen diese Geschichte und wissen auch wie sie ausgeht. Doch wie müssen sich Mose und Aaron gefühlt haben. Sie vertrauten auf Gott und mehr konnten sie nicht tun. Das ist wirklicher Glauben. Bei jeder erneuten Ankündiguing der nächsten Plage mussten sie mit dem Tod rechnen.
• Im 2. Vers lesen wir wie Jesus seine Jünger aussendet: "wie Schafe mitten unter die Wölfe.“ Dabei sollten sie „klug wie die Schlangen und ohne Falsch wie die Tauben“ sein. Im Folgevers (Matt. 10,17) sagt er noch "Hütet euch aber vor den Menschen …“ Wie soll das denn gehen? Einerseits sollten sie zu den Menschen gehen und anderseits vor ihnen hüten.
• Mose und Aaron sind hier beispielhaft für den Glauben. . Sie wussten, wer sie gesandt hatte!
• Auch Jesus wies seine Jünger darauf hin, dass sie nicht überall willkommen sein würden. Dennoch sollten sie überall hingehen und das Evangelium predigen und den Frieden bringen. Dadurch hatten die Menschen die Wahl und konnten sich entscheiden. Und es wurde deutlich wer den Frieden haben wollte von den Menschen.
