Red Dead Redemption 2 incredible quality
The long-awaited PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 finally hit the market after its successful passage through PS4 and Xbox One. The game scored a masterpiece score. The title experiences a clear graphical and performance improvement over console versions. I have been able to test it on two computers, a laptop and a desktop.
These are the specifications of the laptop that I used in the test:
- Processor: i7-8750H
- RAM: 32 GB DDR4 @ 2400 MHz
- Storage: NVMe 1TB SSD
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
And these are the specifications of the desktop computer that I have used:
- Processor: i5-8600K
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz
- Storage: NVMe 1TB SSD
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti
I must start by saying that it was difficult for me to start playing due to some problems with the installation of the game by the newly released Rockstar Games Launcher. The most famous of all and the one that happened to me during the first day was the error similar to "The game has closed unexpectedly" making it impossible to go further; I thought it could be due to a problem with storage, but I tried several SSDs and in all there was the same problem. When checking it online, hundreds of players reported the same error, so I decided to postpone the test until we had an update to solve this problem. Currently these initial problems were left aside and currently there is no problem to enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was already on consoles a game with a high-quality graphic quality, but the truth is that the sensation when watching or playing the title in 4K is almost indescribable. This is the closest we are to the graphics of the future.
