RE: How much does my organ playing make on YouTube?

That's a bit of a defining trait, backwards looking. I love 400 years old music, how backward looking is that? 😀

If one is happy with playing organ/hauptwerk and sharing recordings with each other, there is no reason to look to something else. I did the same for years. The first incentive to turn to Steem was the idea that it perhaps could be a way to create some income from my publishing efforts. The scores themselves are free (both a condition from the owning libraries and a personal principle), Steem/Hive is a way to generate some income from it.
If there is no such incentive, what reason could hauptwerkers have to abandon contrebombarde?

It was only after I was active on Steem notions about decentralisation and provable ownership began to mean something to me. They were more a result of joining than a reason to join. And that goes for the majority of people.

What reason or advantage could make organists become receptive to blockchain and crypto? I don't know yet. It's not making money: we know one has to invest quite a lot in Hive or Steem before it becomes financially interesting. We'd need something that is possible with blockchain but not with a site as contrebombarde ánd that is interesting/surprising/beneficial/. I've not yet thought of something that meets those requirements.

I love 300 year old music more than 400 year old music haha so I'm more forward looking than you. Jokes aside, I think most Contrebombarde older members have financially secure situation in live and are in no hurry to think outside the box about improving it. It's about the only explanation I have. If one were struggling to make ends meet or have this prospect in the future, then one would start to focus on improving their situation and even researching new ways to make money today.

Another reason why they are content with what Contrebombarde offers them today is that most organists don't have mentality to choose themselves. They are content to work for somebody else and wait for direction of what to do next. You, on the contrary, have chosen yourself to produce these scores and recordings. People like you and @contrabourdon have different DNA.
