Sullen Spring Needs Comfort Food

avatar

I have a love-hate relationship with spring. I love the flowers. These mountains were covered in snow, just two weeks ago. Now, flowers are everywhere.

But the weather turns. Quickly. And my latent allergies...well, let's just say, they remind me...

The weather turned and I turned, too. Supper had to be comforting. Roasted chicken bits and vegetables (the last of the turnips - for now) and gravy.

Chicken roasted with garlic and thyme. Gravy made by deglazing the pan and also with the stock from par boiling the carrots. Also finished off in the oven.

Until next time, be well

We've also had some Sullen Spring days here, like today! Very apt description Fiona. I must try Dapplr!

And we have another, today! I am back at the desk with cold hands and feet! lol

Do try @dapplr - you'll find a referral link above. Be warned, if you don't have a super smart phone and fast wifi, it can be a little slow and heavy. However, since I use it at home, that's not really worrying me. And it's convenient for photos on my phone and, as I said - when that's the easiest tool....

Dang it! I should've known better - I opened this post to read with a hungry tummy... 😂

Sorry to hear about the sullen spring - trade you for the frosty fall we're currently experiencing? 😊

I nearly tagged you to tell you, you were missed! And, thanks, but I think I shall leave Jack exactly where he is! 🤭
