it's becoming harder to sift through
the short posts to find genuine,
quality, original content & blogs...
My opinion of course...
Greetings fellow Steemians and PALs!
For those of you who may not know me, I am an active curator here within the Steem and PAL community. I have been posting on Steem since May of 2017, and I have also been a curator for various projects. I have been active curating with @MinnowSupport Project, @OCD, @Yougotsnekked, and of course, on my own.
The last year for me on Steem has been interesting for sure. I reached a point last year where I was almost ready to be done with Steem altogether. I was frustrated with the way Steem dropped the ball with Dlive, Whaleshares becoming a thing, and obviously, the price of Steem falling so hard. I was about to walk away, but I ended up staying because of all of the amazing people who are still here posting, commenting, and chatting in Discord communities.
I am excited about Steem again. I pushed past all of the negativity, and am still eager to curate great original content that is being shared here. There's only one problem...
Where are all of the original content creators??

The curation groups I work with have many rules and guidelines to follow. We only want to support original, quality content.
Posts that I am NOT looking to curate:
Very Short Posts with little to no original text.
Posts with only sourced photos.
Posts created autonomously through dapps that are overly posted daily
Posts that contain links to outside sourced content only
Plagiarism
Copy-Pasted or Re-posted content from non-Steem blogs
Posts I AM looking to support:
Original Posts that are shared for the first time on Steem that contain:
IntroduceYourself tagged posts - tell us more about yourself and your blog in a one time introduction post.
Original Text Blogs, more than a couple of paragraphs long.
Original Photography blogs with text to talk about them, numerous original photos included.
Original Videos with text commentary included about the video.
Original Travel blogs with original photos and text.
Original Music, with text descriptions in the post.
Original Artwork, with process photos and descriptions.
There may of course be other content ideas I am just not thinking of, but the idea here is that I am looking for some NEW original content creators to follow on Steem. All posts I am looking to curate should not be short post. Please offer at least a few paragraphs of original text.

I pretty much blog about what is in the news each day and give my insight and opinion on it. I like to keep up with blockchains, learning and teaching others how to get involved with it more through mining, delegation, pos etc. and on the side since I do marketing and small business automation I will occasionally add that on here as well.
But what I am really looking forward to on this post is finding other great content creators to curate as well it's been hard finding them and honestly I wish there was a section where I could go browse brand new people on Palnet so I can welcome them and see what ones come in here with the right goals and support them.

Most of my posts are @actifit daily reports and @vimm live stream notifications, but I occasionally blog about my cat, video games, and soon, my kid. I'll have to check out your group and follow some of the other people you're curating.

Yeah it is hard to curate those tags because so many of the posts are just quick ones that wouldn't work for the curation groups I am in. I will certainly check out your blog though, and thank you for leaving a reply @ddrfr33k!
Howdy! Have listened to you on MSPwaves before.. my blog does have an occasional sourced photo, but it's rare. Today I posted one of a cat with lasers coming out of its eyes but that was for the sake of an original pickle poem. So, it's give and take. I was going to say, though, you are welcome to look through the curated posts from @helpiecake to find new content. Surfing the introduceyourself posts is one of my favorite things. I am behind on curating myself, though.. but getting back into it. I am always so happy to find other like-minded curators on the chain. Finding great content on the web has been a passion of mine since back when the internet was called "gopher" in the lab of the university I was attending. Maybe you're too young to remember that.. haha. I am practically 80 years old.

Anyway, I post all original photos and text, mostly 120 words and above, except rarely when I want a certain photograph to be perceived without many words... like abstracts or some so-called "creative innovative arty" (my definition) stuff!
But I am glad for people like you out there to find people like me!
