Pisco Sour Day! Are you cereal???

There are so many weird days made up all around the world more and more everyday. Honestly, I didn't see this one coming when coming to visit Peru first time but I think it makes sense they have this day called 'National Pisco Sour Day' or Dia Nacional del Pisco Sour in Spanish.

Now you think 'What the h*** is Pisco Sour?'

Pisco + Syrup + Lime juice + EGGWHITE + cinnamon

Pisco Sour is an alcoholic cocktail originated in Peru. The drink's name comes from pisco, which is its base liquor, and the cocktail term sour, in reference to sour citrus juice and sweetener components. Eggwhite? Yes, you read that right. They shaky shaky that's why it's that foamy up on the surface of the cocktail.

The drink is quite strong as the liquor itself is 38%-48% alc. I tried to like it but the fact that there's an eggwhite in it doesn't really help. You can't actually taste the egg really but still, it's always in mind.

Peruvians love it and they're proud of it so that's why 'National Pisco Sour Day' was founded and it is every first Saturday of February.

In 2020, I happened to be in Peru! To be exact, I was in this lovely small beach town on the west coast, Paracas. On the Pisco Sour Day, the famous alcoholic drink is celebrated throughout the country. The festivities usually include festivals and parties, music performances, concerts, Pisco Sour tastings and competitions as well as special events in restaurants, bars and hotels.

As Paracas is a small little town, I really didn't expect much really. We went out and tried some Pisco they sell at the beach event in the morning and thought 'Is that actually it?'. No, in the late evening, people started to make moves and some performers dressed up pretty interestingly.

National Pisco Sour Day is getting exciting in Paracas, Peru

There are horses, a bunch of girls and boys dressed up in traditional Peruvian clothes, the mujer and mujeres put on some kind of tribe clothing. I had no idea what's going on but it was interesting to see.

I followed all the crowd to the beach and all circled up. There are traditional dances, music and performances going on for hours and it was so enjoyable to watch.

It's once a year and guess what, you can enjoy Pisco Sour day like you're here yourself without actually booking a flight and fly out here to Peru here. Subscribe for more 360° travel video :)

VR 360° PISCO SOUR DAY 2020 - With Peruvian beach dance and horse show in PARACAS, PERU 🇵🇪

I was happy to be there in Paracas on National Pisco Sour Day

The more day I spent in Paracas, the more I don’t want to leave. Summer every single day… The performance and tranquil event of Pisco Sour Day was lovely and not too overwhelming.

Totally one of must-visits in Peru especially with their unique activities you could do like visiting Islas Ballestas and Desert Buggying in Paracas National Reserve. It’s very fun and so pretty to see with your own eyes. Also, all the delicious and fresh Peruvian seafood dishes you could stuff yourself with make it an epic journey! Love it there!

Wowwww hahaha Thanks for such kind words. I just had so much time. BTW, I went to Pisac Sunday market today. Fun fact: Market everyday but on Sunday, there are local street food and the fruits and veggies added on... :D

I have been talking to some people and seems like they don't know much about crypto at all. I told quite a lot of people about steemit.com though :)
