Show appreciation.

I have decided that I will try my best to give people that comments
some value back for their comments.
So if I receive a comment on my post I will try to up-vote it to show that I
value the fact that people have taken the time to comment on my post,
and if I can come up with a reply to the comment I will.
I also try to follow people that take time to vote and comment.

Of course it has to be relevant comments and usually more than 1 - 3 words.
And also not any form of spammy comment.

I think it is important that those who has the ability,
try to show appreciation for the interaction they get on their posts.
And give a small up-vote if they are able, to show appreciation.
It gives people an incentive to engage more with their posts.

Remember we all started on scratch, and some have a harder time
in writing posts than others.
And they resort to just up-voting and commenting.
Let’s all work together to lift each other up and forward.

Have a nice day,
and God bless.

Have you seen my last post:

I think that you are totally right in wanting to show appreciation. I think this is a key to our lives on hive. When people take the time to read my posts and comment what I have written, I am very greatful and I want to show it. To give answers and upvotes are a great way of showing it and I believe this is the magic of this blockchain. Where else can you reward somebody for taking the time to read your post?

Yes, and especially when you can afford it, and your up-votes gives value, I think you should use them.

Blows my mind that people that get all the upvotes in the world on HIVE, rarely respond to the comments they get on their blog. And if they do, they respond to one or two comments, not everyone that took the time to engage with them...

I feel like the least I can do is upvote people when they comment and reply. What's the point of content if you aren't engaging with your audience?

Yes agree, of course if the comments come in several days late or on a "dead" post it is understandable. but we should try to engage at least on fresh posts.
Another scenario that I can understand that people choose to stop responding is if they get several 10s to 100s of comments on a post, but I don't think any of us have that problem lol.

Well, knowing that you are still new here on the Hive, you have nailed it with this post... A lot of people will quit BEFORE knowing how they should interact with their audience...

Appreciation of your readers by replying to the comments (and upvoting, if you can) is just a normal thing... Respect others and they will respect you... Thank you for pointing out these important things!

Thank you for including this in your curation.
To your comment: Yes, yet if you care to at least up-vote your comments, people will notice, and you will create a bigger following. That is quite obvious, and people will want to comment on your posts especially when you get to orca and whale status because they know they will get paid for it.

Very good points you always want to upvote and reply to comments on your post. Keep up the great work.
