I'm excited to announce my fellow Steemians the launch of Discussions 2 on January 27, 2020!💃😃
Here are news somethings you should know about Discussions 2 Desktop:
✔ No Scatter, No CPU worries. UnifiedID FTW!
With the implementation of UnifiedID and WebWallet, you no longer have to fire up Scatter before using Discussions.
Scatter will continue to be supported, but will only be necessary when depositing tokens to your UnifiedID.
Stay tunned at beta.discussions.app Updates, they’ll enable you to connect Scatter through the settings menu.
✅ Search!
Vaguely remember that post you read a few days ago but forgot where it was posted? Now you can search through Discussions!👍😀
✔ Click and Post
No longer will you have to wait transaction signatures, no more dealing with CPU outages!🙅♀️
✅ Delegated Moderation
Delegated Moderation has been one of the key implementations that helps Discussions balance between filtering low-value content and censorship. Soon, users will be easily see who their moderators are and what their moderation policy are like and decide for themselves who to trust. 🎙
✔ Better Editor
The current text editor only allows for one attachment (Tweets, images, video etc). With the launch of 2.0 you can embed multiple attachments within your post, creating a much richer, multimedia experience.

One of the most popular things to on Discussions was to post Tweets and telegram messages. This will continue to be supported on Discussions 2.0!🚀😉

Follow and get notified for replies on an interesting thread, even if you haven’t left a reply on it.
✔ Staking
Staking is coming! Read the staking proposal to find out it’ll work and let Discussions team know your thoughts on the system.
✅ Aura
Aura is Discussions' new reputation system that’ll reward users with non-transferable tokens to be used in shops to expand their user experience through stickers and customized rewards.
✔ Recurring community airdrops
Many projects have been taking advantage of Discussions tipping feature to airdrop to selective community member for their participation in the community. To make their lives a bit easier, they're working on a system that automatically airdrops to users who have been active in their communities!
