Crypto - Goodbye Andrew Yang, you'll get em next time!

Today Andrew Yang announced he's suspending his presidential campaign

Unfortunately for crypto, he was by far crypto's biggest supporter.

Though, for any of you that have been following the democratic debates, the writing seemed to be on the wall for him many months ago.

His official announcement can be seen here:

"While there is great work left to be done, you know, I am the math guy, and it is clear tonight from the numbers that we are not going to win this race [...] I am not someone who wants to accept donations and support in a race that we will not win. And so tonight I am announcing I am suspending my campaign for president.”

Dang!

The powers that be didn't seem to want him in long ago...

For whatever reason the powers that be didn't seem to want Yang as the democratic nominee long ago.

He got very little air time during debates, even when candidates were supposed to be allocated mostly equal air time.

This was a well known fact that still didn't seem to change even after people were talking about it and the networks vowed to do better.

We did our part here on steem trying to promote Yang and give him a voice with initiatives like #yanggang which was spearheaded by @theycallmedan:

Unfortunately we weren't quite able to convince him to join steem.

Dropping out of the race, but not gone...

He may be dropping out of the presidential race, but he is still a powerful voice for crypto, even if it won't be as president.

He will still be in a very influential position going forward and we are lucky to have him on our side.

Here's to hoping he can help make positive change for crypto in the future.

Stay informed my friends.

Pity about that, he was our crypto man on the inside, but USA is not ready for an Asian pres lol. And he is young enough to try a few more times.

True... But even in my country gay man as a president was too much, but we still got bi-sexual president... There is limit for tolerance even in countries where every race is equal...

I personally think we are likely to get 4 more years of what we already have, but that's just my opinion from what I have seen out there.

It took about a century before my country had a first female president and it was still unacceptable for president to not have partner of opposite sex, so... Things can change, but it might take more time than people have... Maybe in three or four generations USA is ready for president of Asian heritage...
