Bye ⚽ bye 🏈 sports 🏀 ? ⚾

Enjoying peace in the streets.

The crazy, no more deaths than usual, breathe-your-own-toxic-waste, "pandemic" has given me time to go out and do what I have to do not without have to navigate through a sea of people. It has been great except that most things were closed.

Now the streets are crowded again and I have to allow time to travel even the shortest distance.

I used to go out and pay bills, do my banking, go shopping, or just sitting in the park whenever a sporting event was happening. The only rule was that I had to be home before the game ended in case there were riots.

I have no interest in sports whatsoever unless I'm playing, for example; of a round of golf or a day at the drag strip. I love to compete. Those kinds of sports will never end because I am the one who chooses if they event will happen or not.

But now that entire sports franchises are slitting their own throats for a disease that has killed no more of the population then usually dies every year, I have no problem with them ending themselves in the financial suicide. I can see the ruins of all the sports stadiums 1000 years from now, "... And nobody knows why they stopped playing."

Anyway, as the streets get more and more crowded, I will miss my days of solace only on sports days. How about you?
