The scheduling for this year's BBL has thrown up quite a few back-to-back fixtures of late. The Scorchers have just come off one such encounter with the high-flying Melbourne Stars and lost both matches. The first, also played at the Optus Stadium was a humbling affair for a side that was looking in good form up to that point, the second saw them squander a good bowling performance as their batsmen threw away too many cheap wickets in pursuit of a manageable total.
Similarly, these 2 teams now meet twice in the space of 3 matches with the side that comes out on top guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

The Thunder overcame a humiliating defeat by bottom side the Renegades to inflict a crushing win in a rain-affected game against their city rivals the Sydney Sixers. Their captain Callum Ferguson will have fond memories of this venue from last year when he hit a sensational hundred to chase down a big total.

Apart from a couple of batting collapses including in the last match here against the Stars, the Optus wicket has provided pace, bounce and plenty of runs.

292 from my side. They can sometimes be unpredictable and better to be on the non-trendy score side :)

Why lady why? Whenever I am about to celebrate my prediction earlier there is always someone haunting me with a single score margin :) Good luck in advance. You seem to have got this one.
