📷 Magnificent mirrors
Have a nice day! Mirrors today are in every home and no one argues with this, but once the price of one Venetian mirror was equal to the price of a small ship.
And to present a mirror as a gift was considered the height of generosity and respect. Only rich aristocrats and royalty could buy and collect them. So for example an avid fan of the mirrors was king Louis XIV.
Every morning he had to look in the mirror, otherwise his day was regarded as unsuccessful :-)
Each buyer can always pick up and frame to your liking, choose the right size and design.
Is even Archimedes mirror was used as a weapon, remember how in the days of the Punic war, he used them to burn the Roman fleet that was besieging Syracuse.
Now the mirrors are designed for several other purposes.
In Russia, the first mirror production appeared under Peter I. Mirrors became almost a family heirloom and were inherited from generation to generation.
There were a lot of beautiful watches here, too, and all the products, in my opinion, are made very original.
And if someone needed very miniature copies, they were almost at every step.
Of course, there were such instances.
Of course, today there are mirrors in every apartment, but you can choose a good and high-quality mirror at just such an exhibition...
I wish you all a spectacular reflection in the beautiful mirror :-)
