Abstract morning dewdrop photos with a modified vintage russian lens.

Hi all

I've been wanting to try something like this for a while. I have a Helios 44M lens which produces crazy bokeh and lens flare, even more so with the front element reversed (which i've done on mine)

A great way to get this lens to go crazy is to get pinprick reflections of light refracted through water drops and into the lens and a dewdrop heavy morning in the grass has given some really great results I think. Way more abstract than my normal stuff but certainly some of these feel like "on the wall" worthy material, especially the first one which I think is my favourite. Every single dewdrop on the grass refracts the sunlight into the lens so you can see each one represented as a flare. Cool huh?

Would love to know what you think about them

Mark, these are some of my favorites of yours. Wow, what a great experiment! I like the third one best.

Dude these are AMAZING :) I totally agree with the alien landscape comment @fotostef, this is making me homesick! The first, third and last images are my fav, the first one especially reminds me of the thick green gasses in the atmosphere of the incubator moons were we lay our eggs. Far out!

Thanks, as always, for the kind comments Mr Alien Person. I have to agree on those three being the best

Thank you, for reminding us that we live in an enchanted world.
