Collage #14 Conceptual design

CollageManClock.jpg

Hey steemit’s friends.

I continue my search for presenting digital artwork. This time I brought a young man walking in letters, numbers and formulas. In the background a clock surreal. Dubai and the pyramids of Egypt, majestic buildings in a close geographic area but distant in time. Coincidence? Causality?

To do this work, I first made the pencil sketch of what I wanted to assemble. Then I looked for images in the freely used digital libraries: Purepng and Pixabay. Later I modified and combined several images to finally assemble the elements.

Impressive. While there is an impression of connection in your design, there is no sense of harmony. This is distinct from most of your work, which often is related to nature or human relations, in which harmony is a theme (in my view).
A very interesting exercise.

I'm trying to do a visual exercise. There is no time; time is lost and it is surreal. Geographic space is the earth but at which epoch. . . the epochs are somehow connected to the knowledge of man.
Many times a story is elaborated from an image. This exercise is the other way around; from a literary idea then make the image.
Thank you for your comments, which are always valuable to me. Greetings @agmoore

Lately (the last few years) I have found little space between my visual images and my verbal exercises. These increasingly are becoming part of a unified creative process. Each complements the other. Sometimes, when I'm stumped in writing I will create an image and this will help me to direct my thoughts. And often, when I'm writing, I 'see' the idea and have a wish to create a visual impression. On Steemit, this is so possible.
I like your exploration very much.
