Artist Spotlight: Honest Iconography
A logo is a fundamental part of every brand. Companies spend millions creating, changing, & tweaking their logos, trying to figure out what will stick & adhere in the minds of consumers.
When a buyer views one, it triggers various subtle thoughts & emotions. Unfortunately for brands, those aren't always positive. The iconography can be a double edged sword.
Swedish Illustrator & Graphic artist Viktor Hertz assembled a series of parody logos that attempt to show popular opinion about major companies & brands that we are constantly bombarded with. Simple yet extremely effective, the “Honest Logos” series are not Hertz’s only creations though. He produces beautiful, clean, & minimalistic Illustrations. The effect of these are viscerally electric by the aptly named ‘Hertz’.
