My Wish for You, A Decade Rich in Social Interactions

In this new climatic reality, who knows how much more time we have on this planet both from an individual and a collective perspective, yet that is all the more reason to make every second count. I don’t know about you but I am never happier then when surrounded by quality people. Our political views do not always align, but by focussing on the common ground we share, life can be permeated with an abundance of joy.

My job is precarious with few social benefits and I wouldn’t do it without all those deep connections with others. Away from my family, I have created my own. It’s true, I might drift away from friends where my brother for example, will always be in my life but there is beauty in that. I can see that ephemeral love has value beyond words and that this love is just as true and valid as the one I have for my brother.

I am proud to have organized this low key high school reunion and to reconnect with friends, especially the two men in this picture. The younger one is the son of one of them. Time flies it does.

My beautiful Travis met my mom. It was challenging for him to save up for the trip but he did it. I think my mom is making a funny face because she can smell the Mile-End trash behind. Were you aware that Mile-End trash is superior though?

Getting hired by Green Apple Art Center was a major score! I can see my destiny taking shape but it takes discipline and consistency which is not a given.

Like me, my mom thinks we will not last the decade to come so my sister (on my dad's side) having a child created a rift between them. They reconnected this summer and this is my sister holding a work in progress type piece of art by my mom and dedicated to MC Mala, my sister's rap persona. Them building a relationship on fresh new grounds is really cool to witness.

The Mindful Artist, a highly philosophical art class I offer, is slowly taking shape.

Some of my most enthusiastic supporters asked for a private art class when I wasn't getting the numbers to hold it at the community center.

Inktober was a revelation @creativecoin and @OCD working in tandem really helped to consolidate the art community on Steem and I have since been following quite a few new artists.

I think the Seven77 challenge was amazing. I particularly loved seing the overwhelming response from Steemians based in Africa. I was so intrigued by their surroundings via video and their will to manifest their hopes for crypto.

It brought people together who would have never been in touch and this is why it is my favorite social media phenomenon ever.

Our beautiful leader @nathanmars is the best for spearheading this. It's good the movement ended while it was ahead. I sympathize because he took a lot on his shoulders and I believe at a certain point it was too much.

One thing that stood out is that he simply asked the community not to comment on his Steem posts anymore and everyone stopped which is an incredible proof of brain in action.

I do thing switching from a 77 day completion to 777 was a bad decision.

Regardless, I am full of admiration for the guy and deeply touched that he would take the time to comment on my entries with enthusiasm, it really made me feel special.
