RODOLFA

Hi everyone!

Today I want to show you a part of my work process for this portrait.

On this occasion I portrayed Rodolfa, one of my best friends and a source of inspiration. Eventually you will see repeated publications where she is the protagonist, because she is not only an intimate friend, she is also my favorite model. I think he sometimes gets tired of me, since I am always asking him to pose me to draw it or to take a picture.

One of the things that I try to achieve in my graphic and visual work is to separate myself a bit from the real references in terms of color, that is, not to use the direct color found in the original model, but to take it as a reference and then exploit it in a composition and color scheme.

This line of portraits in which I find myself working, is done with digital painting so it gives me the possibility to make different versions. What is sometimes counterproductive because insecurity attacks me and then I don't know which one to stay with or which to keep improving (it is one of my flaws).
