So many photo opportunities

One of the things that I loved about being in Thailand is that everywhere you went was a photo opportunity. Everything was so beautiful and interesting that it could make for a pretty dope looking picture.

This shot here was just a simple shot of one of the many flowering plants at one of the temples with the temple in the background. When taking pictures, try and incorporate many different elements of the environment into them so that they are as interesting as possible and tell more of a story about the place that you are in.

So with this image, I wanted to convey the struggle of a stray cat and how lonely it can be for them.

As many of you know, it is very hot in Thailand, and this kitten was very skinny and was most likely not going to make it much longer on its own. Someone had left a cap full of water for the cat so when it woke up, it had something to drink. After I took this sad picture, I reached down to pet it, but it did not want to wake up and just continued to lay there.

One thing I found pretty cool was this monk that was there at a temple taking pictures as if he was a tourist as well. It made me realize that even though these monks live in some of these beautiful temples, they still take the time to appreciate the beauty of these structures and that they don't take them for granted.

I would have loved to have been able to take some time to get to know some of these guys and learn a bit about them and their experiences that they have had. I find their dedication fascinating.

I will end this post with this image. I really liked the texture of the ground and the natural light along with the pose of the cat for this shot. I don't remember what the cat was looking at, but I like the intense gaze that it has.
