Using Tribes to reach people outside of the Steem Ecosystem

One big challenge for steem and the community is the so called onboarding. Which means bringing new users to the steem ecosystem. This task is quite difficult for different reasons. First there is not a big incentive to bring new users to steem. If I bring a friend to steem I won't get paid for it. The second problem is that the steem ecosystem can be quite overwhelming for new users by its complexity. It is not easy to keep new users in the long term.

A tribe as a bridge for onboarding

I was very pleased to see that Tribes can be used as a bridge for this onboarding challenge. A new Tribe has been created by @jongolson which at the same time re-launched his website Click Track Profits that has been around since 2010. This website aims to teach people the ropes of the affiliate marketing industry. By combining his website with his Tribe on https://www.ctptalk.com, he makes an active effort to onboard new users and presents them the many advantages of the steem world.

Steem is perfect for affiliate marketing

I believe that there can be a huge synergy bettween the steem ecosystem and affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing needs content production and the steem world offers free webspace to write good content to promote products and offers. Thanks to tribes and their according tags, you can now write one single post that can be found on tens of websites. The steem world allows in addition to build up a network and to interact with others. Without having to run a website of your own, you can use steem to answer to comments, show your gratitude by giving upvotes, resteem interesting content. Thanks to tribes you can filter according to your area of interests. So I would say a big welcome to affiliate marketers on the steem blockchain and a big thanks to @jongolson for his ongoing effort.
