Yesterday, videos flooded western social media (after being assiduously removed from Weibo and the rest of the Chinese Internet) purporting to show bodies piling up in hallways in Wuhan, with rumors that a doctor had succumbed to the virus.”

Researchers from Lancaster Medical School, the Department of Biology and Emerging Pathogens Institute at the University of Florida, and University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research released a paper (available here in PDF format) with some staggering projections for how rapidly the infected population could increase between now and early February.
