Imagine another month or two living the quarantined life.
It’s not a stay-cation for everyone and people are starting to rebel and protest OR liberate themselves and celebrate their right to peacefully assemble and enjoy community. In some places, people are feeling desperate and are in dire straits.
Someone last week told me that they wouldn’t mind a year of this sheltering lifestyle and I let them know how myopic their statement was. Is everyone the world over enjoying the down time at home with loved ones making fantastic cocktails and lounging at their pool with burgers on the grill? I’ve been finding myself addressing the mini Marie Antoinettes around me who have gotten comfortable in their quarantine life. Too many have been programmed to think that people standing up for their rights are being irresponsible and selfish.
I’ve been alone for over SEVEN weeks now. No family and no friends. My teaching and social life is through video calls. My car is still dead in my garage but I probably would’ve enjoyed a day at the beach to embrace my right to be with people peacefully.
I thought thousands if not millions of Americans would’ve died a miserable tragic death due to the pandemic by now. But has it happened? The numbers reported are starting to do funny switcheroos. This week the numbers of deaths mysteriously reduced to half than what it was last week. Depending on your news source, the worst is yet to come or it never will.
The protests are angering some of my friends. Some even hoped that the people protesting at the beach catch the virus and be denied healthcare. I’m hoping that no one gets sick at all and that these brave folks prove that this pandemic was sensationalized and has hijacked society.
Folks are getting $1k fines if they are caught going for a walk without a mask on in Glendale. Even if no one is nearby. In Glendale!! Goodness.
Mandatory vaccinations and forcing people to give up freedoms in managing their own health and bodies is a hot topic online.
Somehow, the thought of something compulsory isn’t sounding repugnant.

What happened to the other therapies? I asked someone the other day and told them that I heard different treatments and therapies were getting promising results.
XYZ: “None of those studies are American. Some of those therapies are making people blind or are thinning their blood.”
JNET: “Hmmmm. And fast tracking an untested vaccine and mandating it to people is better?”
Are we about to turn a corner where choice is what government and “society” has deemed the right decision for your life? What world is there to look forward to if you are told you cannot return to work or see your friends and family unless you get the vaccine?
Would you vilify someone who chose otherwise and tell them they are being selfish and irresponsible?
Is force justifiable?
The world is at odds. Maybe the sickness that the powers that be hoped to spread is division. Don’t drink the poison that pits us against one another. We are fortunate to live in a country where we can protest and criticize our government. Maybe you feel comfortable in your quarantine life. But maybe it’s fair to let those who aren’t to voice their opinion. They are willing to risk their life on it. I don’t think that’s being selfish.
I think they are being very brave.

It's weird, I always wondered if there would be a civil war in my lifetime the way they whip so many up in anger at their neighbors. I never imagined it would be over a lied about pandemic where numbers were inflated at every turn to make things look as bleak as they could lie to make them.

Sorry your battery is dead. If you have someone who can go get you one, you should get it now if you can afford it. I imagine in the coming weeks as they begin reopening batteries will be the next shortage as so many didn't run their cars (or even start them) for over a month.
I realized some years ago as I watched them pitting everyone against one another as they declared more things illegal that this is not the land of the free and they easily find a consensus among neighbors to demand that your rights be taken for this reason or that.
Appreciate your voice of reason. Hopefully things will move closer to normalizing there soon.

I’m hopeful that there are enough sensible people not driven by fear and guided my misinformation. The world will be wicked accepting the gospel of an untested vaccine and allowing force as morally acceptable.
If there ever is a time to red pill people and have them wake up and question everything to begin thinking for themselves, it’s now. The challenging ones are those living in a comfortable situation. I know too many people enjoying their quarantine bemoaning their cancelled travel plans to exotic places. They don’t understand why anyone would get upset at a mandate that says stay home and chill. And of course, this virus is all Trump’s fault.
I hope the protests continue peacefully and intelligently. It’s disturbing that any decent human would have ill will toward another who is making a stand for their right to question and criticize authority especially when there is overreach of power over citizens.
No one wants a civil war. I don’t think a single gun owner wants to have to use their guns. If it comes to it being the only way to protect oneself and ones family from being forced medical treatments and vaccines, I find no fault with any citizen that is cornered and must make a stand. When the gestapo styled force knocks on the doors of the comfortable and well heeled, people will wake up. I don’t think we will get that far. What we are living through is the test and experiment as to how far the powerful can push the people.
If we fall as a country, the whole world falls. We can’t let that happen. I have faith there are enough good people that will fight against being mentally and economically enslaved to a government that does not serve its citizens.

Australian woman protesting gets arrested. In front of her child. I’m sad to think that there are people who would gloat and not find this heartbreaking. Our world is reflecting the cold powers that be.
