The corona virus changes the world whether we like it or not. It is a very strange feeling to experience this, there has never been a pandemic like this. I am also affected, although it has not hit me as badly as many others.

The main problem is globalization. A hundred years ago, a virus in China would probably not have gone around the world, or at least not at this rate. When I first heard about the outbreak in China I was naive to think we would be spared. I had no idea what was going to happen. Thousands die every day and in dozen cities around the world the situation is like during wartime. This makes me really sad and I pray for everyone affected by the corona virus.  

Now to me: luckily I'm still healthy. My family is also doing well. Health is probably the most important thing these days. Besides that I live with the current restrictions in Germany: I no longer meet with friends, hardly ever go outside (besides jogging) and try to avoid contact with other people as much as possible. It's not easy for me, but it could be worse. Shopping is currently like torture too, with a maximum of 20 people being allowed to enter the supermarket at the same time, waiting times have become normal. Unfortunately, I also notice that a lot of people take little consideration. Both outside and in the market. Many people do not adhere to the recommended minimum distance of 1.5 meters and thus endanger other people, especially the elderly and the previously ill. Unfortunately, these days you can see that many people only thinking about theirself. Toilet paper? There is no available, and when new ones are delivered, people fight for it. Pasta? Rice? Flour? Very difficult to get ...  

I'm just happy once it's completely over. Even if it will take a long time, and I am grateful for every person who helps others in these difficult times. I thank all the doctors, nursing staff, supermarket employees and everyone else. Together we are strong!

Der Corona-Virus verändert die Welt ob wir wollen oder nicht. Es ist ein sehr komisches Gefühl das mitzuerleben, so eine Pandemie hat es noch nicht gegeben. Auch ich bin davon betroffen, obwohl es mich nicht ansatzweise so schlimm getroffen hat wie viele andere.

Das Hauptproblem ist die Globalisierung. Vor hundert Jahren wäre ein Virus in China vermutlich nicht um die ganze Welt gegangen oder jedenfalls nicht in diesem Tempo. Als ich das erste Mal über den Ausbruch in China gehört habe war ich auch noch so naiv zu glauben wir würden verschont bleiben. Ich hatte keine Anhnung was auf uns zukommen würde. Tausende sterben jeden Tag und in zig Städten weltweit geht es zu wie zu Kriegszeiten. Das geht mir sehr nah und ich bete für alle vom Corona-Virus Betroffenen.

Jetzt zu mir: Ich bin zum Glück noch gesund. Auch meiner Familie geht es gut. Gesundheit ist in diesen Tagen das wohl wichtigste. Ansonsten lebe ich mit den aktuellen Beschränkungen in Deutschland: Ich treffe mich nicht mehr mit Freunden, gehe kaum noch raus (außer zum Joggen) und versuche Kontakt zu anderen Menschen so gut es geht zu vermeiden. Es fällt mir nicht leicht, aber ich halte es aus. Auch Einkaufen wird momentan zur Torture, es werden meistens maximal 20 Leute gleichzeitig in den Supermarkt gelassen, Wartezeiten sind normal geworden. Leider fällt mir auch auf, dass viele Leute kaum Rücksicht nehmen. Sowohl draußen als auch im Markt. An die empfohlenen 1,5 Meter Minimumabstand halten sich sehr viele nicht und gefährden so andere Leute, vor allem Alte und Vorerktrankte. In diesen Tagen sieht man leider, dass viele Leute nur an sich denken. Klopapier? Gibt es nicht und wenn neues geliefert wird prüggeln die Leute sich drum. Pasta? Reis? Mehl? Sehr schwer zu bekommen... 

Ich bin einfach froh, wenn alles vorbei ist. Auch wenn das noch ziemlich lange dauern wird, Und ich bin dankbar für jede Person, die in diesen schweren Zeiten anderen hilft. Für Ärzte, Pflegepersonal, Supermarkt Angestellte und alle anderen. Zusammen überstehen wir das!
