The 31 Sentence Contest: Results for Round 1

The 31 Sentence Contest Winners.png

We had three entries this round:
(1) @odeis - Unrealised Love
(2) @gwilberiol - The Master
(3) @agmoore - Compulsion

First...

A special thanks to all who entered this first round. Nobody failed to disappoint with delivering an interesting story within the provided restrictions. I was very excited to read each entry. Each person had a very unique take on the prompt.

I loved the beat that this structure provided and loved how the paragraphs were broken up in different ways. Still, even with the restrictions, there was so much room for play. Amazing stuff.

A very special thanks goes out to two fellow writers who joined us from the @bananafish realms, @agmoore and @gwiberiol. We've been writing together within the realms for about a year now. Your support touched my heart and your stories were stellar, as is to be expected from professionals like yourselves.

I highly enjoyed reading the comments that were posted. Seeing where the contestants succeeded and had troubles reminded me of the same troubles that I too experienced during this exercise. I mean, really, who writes long sentences anymore - and the endless counting! Haha!!!

Now, the judging. This helped me understand how people start getting grays hairs at an early age (or no hair because we've pulled it all out trying to choose between awesomeness and more awesomeness).

Enough with the chitty-chat. Let's get the suspense over with.

First Place

@agmoore - Compulsion

Second Place

@gwilberiol - The Master

Third Place

@odeis - Unrealised Love

Round 2 is out. Come stop by if time permits.

I didn't regret trying the contest, as I was fully increased in thinking. I'm also glad to see my name among the winners. Congratulations to us. I hope to have the privilege of contesting in the next round.

Thank you, my dear @tristancarax. I admire your initiative and creativity. Great qualities for going forward, not only on Steemit, but for the rest of your life (I can say that, because I'm old😁).

Nice! Thank you! Congrats to everyone! This week I'm really swamped so I'll have to skip a round or several, but I'll be back!, (he shouted, shaking his fist in the air).
